With this year coming to an end, all of us are busy working on our resolutions list for the brand new year. Everybody is looking forward to achieve their goals in the coming year. Good health being one important target for all of us. We need to take few simple steps in order to achieve this goal.
Making a resolution list and following it in a right manner will ensure good results in the long run.
Here are some health resolution ideas to add to your new year resolutions list this year.
It’s time to put you first!
1. Morning Drink
The first thing you intake in the morning plays a vital role in starting your day. To make sure that you begin your day on a right note starting the morning with a healthy morning drink is a smart choice.
A healthy morning drink refreshes you and hydrates your body. It also helps in boosting the metabolism.
Some of the morning drink ideas –
lemon water – a glass of warm water with lemon squeezed in it helps to detox the body
coconut water – good source of electrolytes and several essential nutrients to begin your day with
cinnamon water – consuming cinnamon water may help to balance blood sugar levels and improve hemoglobin levels of the body
turmeric water – a pinch of turmeric powder mixed with a glass of warm water will do wonders to your skin health

2. Meditation
Meditation is an ancient practice that has been in existence from thousands of years.
It establishes a connection with the mind and the body. Practicing meditation on a regular basis will make more self-aware about your thoughts and emotions.
It helps to increase blood circulation in your brain and improves the memory power.
Meditation helps to relieve stress and anxiety issues. It improves imagination and creative thinking abilities.

It is a well-known fact that drinking enough water brings you uncountable health benefits.
But for some it might be a task to drink just as enough water throughout the day.
Increase your water intake by consuming healthy juices, water-rich fruits and vegetables. This will keep you hydrated for a longer time.
Infused water is another delicious way to ensure your water intake fir the day.
Take a jar of water, fill it with some fruit slices of your choice with a pinch of salt and sip it throughout the day.
This will help you detox the body and improve your skin health.
7. Nourishing diet
An ideal diet includes all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients that are necessary for a healthy body.
Our daily diet must include various nutrient-rich fruits, vegetables, grains and cereals.
Fruits and vegetables are good sources of dietary fiber. Dietary fibers are helpful in maintaining a healthy digestive system. It prevents digestive problems such as constipation and diarrhea.
Your diet must include whole grains and cereals as they are an excellent source of carbohydrates – the body’s main fuel.

Adopting the practice of mindful eating improves your relationship with food.
Mindful eating habits include eating your food without any distractions and being present in the eating experience.

21. Spend time in nature
Nature is known as the greatest healer of all time. It has tremendous healing powers.
Spending few minutes among trees or just below the open sky, feeling the breeze on your bare face or taking a barefoot walk on the grass.
These little actions will keep you grounded and create a sense of belonging inside of you.

22. Cutdown the Screentime
It has become a difficult task to stay away from screens nowadays, as everything is online. Work and entertainment, communication and relationships, everything. All of us love to binge-watch our favorite shows.
But we need to have a control our screentime for multiple reasons.
Try to cutdown your daily screen time in any small ways possible.
Avoid scrolling unnecessarily for hours. Make it a rule to not see the screen while eating and prior to your sleep timings.

23. Get Quality Sleep
Quality sleep lowers the risk of serious health problems.
The body heals and relaxes itself during the sleep. Work on getting your sleep cycle together for hassle-free days.
It is recommended to sleep in a dark room for better regulated sleep cycles.
Get a good quality sleep at night to begin the next day with a good morning!
